Once, the Sky Was the Sea

Sea and sky. Sky and sea. Seemingly two separate realms.
One world above, another below, with an imaginary horizon stretching between them.
But when the winds blow, the waves respond.
As the waters rage, the clouds gather.
And sea and sky merge once again into water.
How many paintings of the sky and sea can be created?
Since the beginning of time, the sea and the sky have captivated humans. Yet, it was only about 200 years ago that they took center stage in Western art.
This exhibition features modern and contemporary works depicting seascapes, inviting families to reflect on the horizon, the sea, and the sky, and to create their own art inspired by these elements.
Participating artists include: Yasmin Jalon, Roi Kuper, Hadas Satt, Anat Warshavsky and Yonatan Zofy
