A Tour Among the Sculptures of Menashe Kadishman (in Hebrew)

On the tenth anniversary of the passing of Menashe Kadishman (1932–2015), one of Israel’s most important and influential sculptors, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art invites the public to a special tour dedicated to his work. Throughout his career, Kadishman often combined universal imagery with social and political commentary, establishing a clear and powerful voice against violence and war.

Today, as cries of pain and loss resonate across every corner, his works take on renewed significance. From The The Binding—installed as a memorial in the Museum plaza and now identified with Hostages Square—to the gaping faces in Scream and in the installation Shalekhet (Fallen Leaves) his sculptures confront us with images of protest, calls to end cycles of violence, and a vision of hope for a different reality.

Ten years after the passing of Kadishman, a tour among his works offers a renewed opportunity to reflect on the place of art in protest and in shaping shared life here and now.

Please note: During the tour, we will visit The Binding (1982-85), installed in the Museum plaza—within Hostages Square.
