A Little Opera at the Museum: What Do the Does Do? / The Israeli Opera for Kids (in Hebrew)
For Children Aged 4–9
An engaging and nostalgic performance weaving the magic of childhood into an operatic production for young audiences. At the heart of the show are beloved children's songs written by A. Hillel, Leah Goldberg, Miriam Yalan-Shteklis, and others, set to music by Yoni Rechter, Nurit Hirsch, Aryeh Levanon, Naomi Shemer, Svika Pick, and many more. The production brings to life the characters at the center of these familiar songs: Danny, whose tears cry on their own; Michael, who promised to come twice and never arrived; the zebra who refuses to take off her pajamas; the soap that wouldn't stop crying; the cheerful Mr. Choco; an especially merry choir; one little girl who dreams of a magic hat; a hyacinth learning to bloom on time; and the does at night. The flavors of childhood past come alive with touching operatic elements.
At the end of each performance, one of the songs featured during the show will be taught in an interactive musical activity—fun and engaging—leaving children with smiles on their faces.
After the performance, children are invited to take part in an independent bingo game throughout the museum galleries. Whoever succeeds will win a surprise!
* Upon presenting a completed bingo card, the surprise can be collected at the volunteer station located near the Museum's main entrance.
