Encounter at the exhibition The Day Is Gone: 100 Years of the New Objectivity (in Hebrew)
Encounter with the the assistant curator, Naama Bar-Or
This is the first comprehensive exhibition in Israel to mark the centenary of the New Objectivity movement. Emerging in Germany in the 1920s, it offered a sober look at reality during the Weimar Republic. The exhibition features over 100 works by major artists, including George Grosz, Lotte Laserstein, Otto Dix, Anita R.e, and Christian Schad. A unique audio drama takes visitors on a journey through a day in the life of a Berlin resident at that time. The Day is Gone is not just a historical exhibition, but also a mirror of our own times.
