Lassie Come Home, 2020 | Director: Hanno Olderdissen, 96 min., dubbed into Hebrew
Lassie, the most famous dog in history, returns to the big screen. Twelve-year-old Flo and his beloved collie Lassie live happily in a small village. They are inseparable good friends. But when Flo’s father loses his job, the family must move to a smaller apartment, where pets are not allowed. So a heartbroken Florian is forced to give up his beloved dog Lassie, who is handed over and forced to move to the North Sea. When the evil dog keeper mistreats Lassie, she seizes a moment when he is distracted and escapes, embarking on an adventurous journey across the country in search of Flo. But Lassie is not the only one traveling far and wide: Flo, too, can no longer bear to be apart from his dog and sets out to look for her. Neither of them will give up easily. This is a heartwarming and moving film about the power of true friendship between a child and his dog, about longing and loyalty.
About the activity kit
This is personal kit invites the young viewer to choose a painting on display in one of the Museum’s exhibitions, or a detail from it, and disassemble it to create movement. The kit includes a paper pocket in the form of a video camera, an illustrated stills camera with a peephole, a frame wheel for DIY painting, and, of course, instructions for the child and their accompanying adult.
The sessions are suitable for families with children aged 5–10
