Cinema-Museum for the Whole Family / Song of the Sea, 2014 / Film + Activity Kit
Join us for a cinematic family experience on Saturdays — a film screening and a visit to the Museum's exhibitions, accompanied by a self-guided activity kit.
In each session, we’ll embark on a wonderful cinematic journey. The carefully selected films complement a visit to one of the museum’s exhibitions, offering young viewers new perspectives on the artwork.
At the end of the film, each participant will receive a kit for independent gallery exploration — through which they can discover how a still image can be transformed into a moving one.
Get ready for a truly artistic adventure!

About the activity kit
This is personal kit invites the young viewer to choose a painting on display in one of the Museum’s exhibitions, or a detail from it, and disassemble it to create movement. The kit includes a paper pocket in the form of a video camera, an illustrated stills camera with a peephole, a frame wheel for DIY painting, and, of course, instructions for the child and their accompanying adult.
The sessions are suitable for families with children aged 5–10
